Journalist shows Turkish prime minister pictures from 2016, claims they are from Afrin

During a press conference with German chancellor Angela Merkel, BasNews reporter Armanj Nerwayi showed the Turkish prime minister Binali Yildirim pictures of wounded children, claiming these were the results of the Turkish military campaign against the terrorist organization PKK. Turkish PM Binali Yildirim responded to the man, saying that the photo’s were not from Afrin. PM Yildirim turned out to be right. 

Nerwayi showed the Turkish PM pictures to emphasize the civilian death toll in Afrin during Turkey’s military campaign against the terrrorist organization PKK, which started on the 20th of January 2018. However, both pictures featuring above the article about the matter written by BasNews, are not from Afrin.

Yildirim said that the journalist is spreading propaganda in favour of the terrorist organization PKK and he was right. The pictures Armanj were showing, turned out to be from 2016. Operation Olive Branch did not start up until the 20th of January 2018.

Terrorist organization PKK is waging a heavy propaganda war using loads of fake news to manipulate public opinion in the west in favour of the terrorist organization PKK.
